Forgotten Children

Brief: A new UK charity needed to be introduced to the UK media scene, and to come to the attention of potential donors.

Method: Recommended an event to introduce the charity. Advised also upon a central London event that would attract media attention. Celebrities would be invited to attend, in order to ensure media coverage and raise general interest. We would also need an appealing visual focus for the evening and proposed an auction of teddy bears (the company logo), by a celebrity auctioneer, at Hamleys Toy Store in London.

Results: A fundraising evening at Hamleys Toys Store on Regent Street was organised. We managed to secure agreement from Hamleys to provide the venue for free and we organised sponsors to supply free drink and refreshment. Hugely successful evening with dozens of photographers and journalists attending. Celebrity support included Dame Judi Dench, Joanna Lumley, Jennifer Saunders, Richard and Judy, Tanya Byron and 20 or so other well known faces from TV and music scene.

Endorsement: David Wing, Director Bentley Fundraising & Management Consultants Ltd: ” Great results… team a pleasure to work with. The end result is always an effective outcome which meets exactly the needs of the client. Highly recommend”.
